Turntable

The turntable is the second most important piece of equipment, only followed by the mixer when it comes to DJing. Although preserving the general concept developed over 140 years ago, today’s turntables are driven by DC motors and therefore allow pitch adjustments, scratch-mixing, even reverse. Some of the very new turntables also feature digital components, such as LED screens that allow you to set motor parameters and gain important feedback such as the BPM of a track. Generally, while it is clear that the digital revolution is overtaking everything, turntables by their very nature, stay true to the sound of generations passed and allow all of us to live the tradition. Nothing comes close to the mechanical warmth and dynamic response of a turntable.
