From its famous glory days of the 80s and the slump during the 90s, electro has seen a big come back to fame. Like an unforgotten story that just won't go away, electro has found a new niche in the production of modern electronic dance music. Knowing the history of this style, it is indeed no surprise to see that most electro tracks these days are remixes of older dance tracks originally produced in the 80s. On a wider spectrum artists such as Orion Too and many New York DJs champion the sound on a regular basis and have helped bring it back in big fashion. On a more technical side, electro production takes advantage of drum machines, sequencers and synthesizers with strong emphasis on the use of very electronic sounding samples.
