Equipment
Overview (DJ Equipment / DJ Gear)
Two turntables, a mixer and a microphone usually comprise
a DJs' most basic equipment, although recently, new advances
in digital media have enabled DJs to use computers, and CD
players, with specialized software in much the same manner
as with turntables. All the peripherals connect into the mixer,
from where the DJ can manipulate the channels, the frequency,
as well add effect. When put all together, the DJ equipment
can be as overwhelming as a small-studio, and when you think
about it, it kind-of is.
